To provide 130 prosthetic aids to the orthopedic disabled in Maharashtra and Gujarat in order to enable their independent mobility
Impact: As a result of this intervention the project envisions to accomplish.
Increased independence among beneficiaries with the emerging opportunities through the provision of mobility aids.
It is assumed, that the patient will be employable once mobility is possible. In such a scenario, if the patient earns a minimal of Rs. 5000 per month- he/she is able to generate a value of approx. Rs. 60000. 100 such patients generate a value of approx. Rs. 60,00,000.
About the NGO
Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, is a registered charity that was established over 25 years ago by Mr Mahendra Mehta. It was set up in order to tackle the problems of poverty in Mumbai, especially amongst young children. From its humble origins as a family institution it has grown rapidly, and now its projects cover a wide range of activities located in both India and other developing countries, including Afghanistan, Sudan, Kenya and Burundi.
